Grappling Rules

Format: Submission only. One 5-minute round — win by submitting your opponent within the time limit.
No submission → overtime using EBI rules: one 1-minute sudden-death round per fighter.
Overtime winner: fastest submission, or fastest escape if no submission occurs. If one fighter escapes and the other doesn't, the one who doesn't escape loses.
Overtime starting position (one attempt each): opponent's back (both hooks + seatbelt grip) or spider web (armbar) position — chosen by rock-paper-scissors.
Strictly prohibited: leg reaping, and knee attacks involving rotational torque (heel hooks, toe holds).
Exceptions may apply for exhibition matches.
